Samsung is reportedly the most recent top-tier entity to hop on the meta-venture bandwagon – one of the latest cutting-edge aspects of crypto – selecting Decentraland for its metaverse initiative.

Specifically, on January 6th, the consumer electronics heavyweight reportedly disclosed details related to the opening of a virtual replica of its iconic New York physical store, in a bid to bring improvements during the time where the global pandemic is preventing people from stepping foot in the offline store.

The Samsung metaverse store reportedly functions as a replica of a real-world shop, headquartered at 837 Washington Street in New York City’s Meatpacking District in Manhattan.

Individuals will reportedly have the power to tap into the Samsung 837X shop on the metaverse for a limited time. The firm claims that it is one of the top major brand’s land takeovers in Decentraland, a blockchain-based metaverse.

Customers will need to log into Decentraland using a web browser in order to gain access to the store. Following signing in, their avatar will be sent outside Samsung’s metaverse structure. When the avatar reaches the lobby, a virtual guide will lead the avatar to one of three interior rooms: sustainability, customization, and connection.

The Samsung 837X store will reportedly come with “Connectivity Theater and Sustainability Forest”, together with a musical event at the “Customization Stage”, per Samsung.

The South Korean technology giant recently revealed specifics concerning the introduction of a new smart TV range with an integrated non-fungible token (NFT) platform.

Micro LED, Neo QLED, and The Frame is reportedly among the numerous nominal cases of Samsung’s 2022 smart TVs, which will have an NFT Platform app for discovering purchasing, and trading digital art.
